Do NOT ambulate him on room air when he is requiring a NRB at rest.
That might be why he was dusky and slumped over in his wheelchair when
you were pushing him back to his room.
That might also explain why his respiratory rate is in the 40s.

LOL! My question would be: did the home nurse even know what a NRB was? I've run across quite a few, RN's who don't work on pulmonary or cardiac floors, who don't even know what a NRB is or its significance, as in, the patients in deep shit.
